Two large size lithographed maps showing in great detail the Island of Sumatra, Singapore and the Sunda Street. The map was printed in 1910 in the Netherlands, and shows a few interesting and detailed insets. A decorative map in attractive colours, very suitable for framing. This is a genuine antique map, not a modern reproduction. 

Lithography is a printing process that uses a flat stone or metal plate on which the image areas are worked using a greasy substance so that the ink will adhere to them, while the non-image areas are made ink-repellent. 

Sumatra is one of the Sunda Islands of western Indonesia. It is the largest island that is fully within Indonesian territory, as well as the sixth-largest island in the world at 473,481 km2 (182,812 mi.2), not including adjacent islands such as the Simeulue, Nias, Mentawai, Enggano, Riau Islands, Bangka Belitung and Krakatoa archipelago.
