Indiae Orientalis Insularumque Adiacientium Tiipus

Hand-coloured 17th century Italian map of South East Asia from the 1655 book "Teatro del Mondo."

Made by G. M. Tuttini with text on the page in Italian. Seems to take inspiration from Ortelius and other earlier mapmakers, right up to including America and New Guinea on the right side of the map. Sumatra is also identified as Taprobana on this map.
